About

I’m a Sweden based artist specializing in mosaic sculptures for public and private environments.

Durable materials – for outdoor use and play
My sculptures and reliefs in glass mosaic have a soft finish adapted for children (sharp edges are sanded down). With thousands of hand-cut pieces of mosaic a faceted surface with beautiful light reflections is created. It’s a similar technology used in the construction of outdoor pools, which means that my sculptures are durable and can be placed both indoors and outdoors – and will withstand both play, weather and wind.

Expressive art that evokes joy
I often work figuratively, which makes my sculptures easy to understand regardless of age and origin. To create a fun effect, I often work on different scales. An example of this is the public commission "Alla kan vara med" at Ekhagsskolan's sports center. There is a hedgehog that is as big as a bear to remind everyone that they have their unique strengths.

Beautiful on a distance – and close
From a distance, my sculptures can be perceived as real, but when you get closer, it's like zooming in on a picture. Suddenly you see all the pieces like pixels. We live in a society where we several hours a day allow ourselves to look at a surface of glass: The screen. My pixelated sculptures in glass create an exciting visual apperance that alternates between different worlds – like frozen moments between the virtual and the real world, a sparkling dream world.

Education
I have been studying five years at Steneby School of Arts and Crafts and HDK University of Gothenburg. During my bachelor at Konstfack University of College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden, I took an exchange semester in Japan where I studied sculpture at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
